God is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and He in whom I take refuge. Psalm 144:2 _______________________________________________________________ Monday, December 22, 2008 After three days of snowing, outreach at WalMart, a wedding and an awesome children’s production this weekend – we decided to start driving to Kentucky. I made it about six hours last night…we had to stop and get a hotel room. Thank God we are finally here now! It’s a little after eight and I am warming by my father-in-law’s fire as I write to my faithful followers. I wish you all an awesome Christmas!!! O Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you! Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice! Psalm 141:1-2 _______________________________________________________________ Tuesday, December 16, 2008 I am awaiting yet another snow storm…5-8 inches!!! It seems we are getting to much snow to quickly in the season. Beyond my anticipation of snow, I am relaxing in front of a cozy fire, Luke is asleep, Heather & Kennedy are wrapped in blankets, Preston is busy playing in the floor and I am snuggled up with my laptop concerning myself with all that lies ahead. I suppose if I would listen to my own sermons I might be ‘a bit’ better off. Well, the Charlie Brown Christmas Special is on and I don’t want to miss any opportunities for Christmas tree decorating ideas! Every Word of God proves true. Proverbs 30:5 _______________________________________________________________ Friday, December 12, 2008 After a night full of frozen precipitation, we have four inches of ice on the ground today! It seems my morning has been filled with snow removal solutions and dealing with a pain in my back that I developed splitting some wood apart yesterday. I was however able to squeeze in a great cup of coffee (quad-grande-nonfat-caramel macchiato) with a good friend! Beyond snow and ice, I am certainly looking forward to Sunday…God has good things in store! I know your works (says GOD): you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16 _______________________________________________________________ Tuesday, December 9, 2008 After an exciting (extended) weekend, I am finally able to come up for a little air! We had an incredible prayer experience on Friday night as we allowed God to do His thing; it always works better when we let God do His thing. On Saturday we had a successful Blood Drive followed by a drama workshop facilitated by Master’s Commission. Master’s commission continued to bless us on Sunday morning by ministering in the morning service…it was a great service! Finally, yesterday was filled with preparation for the Women’s Christmas Banquet. The men who came did an outstanding job! The Banquet was extraordinary to say the least…my wife and the Ladies Leadership Team are quite good at what they do!!! And now, as I said, I am breathing a little…simply gearing up for a fun-filled, jam-packed & most important - exciting up and coming (rest of a) Holiday Season!!! Where there is no vision the people are discouraged. Proverbs 29:18 _______________________________________________________________ Friday, December 05, 2008 Wow, it has been a week since I last posted! All I can offer is my many apologies to my avid readers. It is about a quarter to seven this morning and I have just taken our new dog outside for a bathroom break. John Ezzo’s (in)famous ‘little bit’ has now become our ‘little bit’! Yes I know, it is all so exciting. Beyond a new dog I am preparing for tonight’s prayer service, tomorrow’s event with Master’s Commission, Sunday’s service and Monday’s Women’s Christmas banquet. This is probably why I haven’t blogged in a week…it’s the most busiest time of the year!!! Through it all I must confess though, God is faithful and incredibly good. I am sure I will see you soon! Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:12 _______________________________________________________________ Thursday, November 27, 2008 Happy Thanksgiving! Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered. Proverbs 28:18 _______________________________________________________________ Wednesday, November 26, 2008 Only one day left before Thanksgiving…this year is nearly over and I feel like it has passed me like a rocket! We arrived in Kentucky last night after 16 hours of driving (yes, I said 16). Snow storms and construction caused ‘a bit’ of a delay. The kids are off to the movie with Aunt Sarah and soon to be Uncle Brian. Heather and her mom are enjoying quality time in the kitchen, and Thomas and I are preparing for some shopping and a movie. It’s nice to be home (Heather’s original that is). I am at the moment in front of fire looking out the window at a small creek with a barn off in the distance - missing my cup of Starbucks and the busyness of suburbia. See everyone on Saturday or Sunday, whichever comes first for you. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7 Soon to be Uncle Brian had an accident with Kennedy's pink floam! _______________________________________________________________ Friday, November 21, 2008 I am on the verge of sinking my teeth into some of the best turkey and corn bread stuffing this side of the Mason-Dixon Line. In less than an hour we will be kicking off our annual Church Thanksgiving Dinner. Beyond turkey, the week has gone extremely quick. It seems that life is much of a whirlwind. I wonder sometimes if I am making the difference God has purposed me to, or if like many others I am simply maintaining and ultimately surviving. The change I hunger for is personal and necessary first and foremost. Yes, yes, I am still on the ‘change’ kick. I so want what God wants!!! See you Sunday…I hope. Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains (I long for the late rains). James 5:7 _______________________________________________________________ Monday, November 17, 2008 Wow, the past four days have been quite eventful! The Chey-guy’s house burned down on Thursday…of course that would be enough in itself to make the last four days crazy! On Friday night the ladies had their ‘Chick Flick’. Saturday after a morning counseling session, I crashed and finally awoke to make my last preparations for Sunday morning. Then of course there was Sunday’s service. God is certainly up to something HUGE, as Fuccillo can only describe it!!! And to top things off I am teaching the morning Bible class this week at the King’s School, of which I am thoroughly enjoying. Stay tuned for further updates. Blessed is the individual who remains steadfast under trial, for when he/she has stood the test he/she will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12 _______________________________________________________________ Wednesday, November 12, 2008 I’m sitting in Charlotte, North Carolina waiting on my connecting flight to Albany! Yes I am very excited…if you couldn't tell. The conference in Myrtle Beach went well, and more importantly my five days of conferencing has finally come to an end. I am excited about coming home and staying there for a while. And just in case you are still wondering…change is coming – so instead of running from it, let’s chase it and refuse to let go!!! Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 _______________________________________________________________ Monday, November 10, 2008 Yes, I am still alive! The leadership summit in NYC went very well. Service yesterday morning was one of the most exciting services I have been a part of ever; and last night’s leadership meeting was extremely productive…we see change, we are pursuing change and we will embrace change!!! I am now sitting in my hotel room overlooking the ocean in Myrtle Beach, SC. It’s a tough life, but someone has to live it. The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it. Proverbs 27:12 _______________________________________________________________ Friday, November 7, 2008 I believe I am over the virus that found me late Saturday night, thank GOD!!! I am now readying myself for a jam packed six days. First, I go to NYC - today, tonight & tomorrow to instruct other Pastors concerning Media Ministries. Sunday holds two services; the morning obviously (in which thousands will attend while hundreds are saved), and there is also Sunday night (in which the leadership will be sharpened to that of a razor). And finally, I fly out Monday morning to Myrtle Beach for a church conference related to my role as a State Youth Board Member. Don’t worry, I will be returning on Wednesday evening. And NO, I will not be tanning on the beach – trust me, I burn more than I tan!!! So that is the run down. Pray for me and I’ll pray for you!!! One who is full loathes honey, but to one who is hungry everything bitter is sweet. Proverbs 27:7 _______________________________________________________________ Tuesday, November 04, 2008 Go and vote today! If you need any guidance, consider voting for the candidate whose last name begins with M (his running mate’s last name begins with P). I trust these helpful hints will be ‘helpful’!!! Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Proverbs 27:1 _______________________________________________________________ Sunday, November 2, 2008 November has arrived! I have no idea where October went, but I see Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching rapidly. And did I mention the days have now been shortened due to a new season and the turning of our clocks. It seems as though time has become a rare commodity. Well, enough of my ranting; I feel like some pundit on Fox News Channel! Today was a miraculous day! I thought on multiple occasions throughout the morning to call in sick. I must have picked up some virus late Saturday and by the time Sunday morning arrived I was sick! But because of my stubborn nature, I pressed on to church. God moved in a mighty way by suppressing my “sickness” and proceeding with HIS plan. God is faithful, I know that full well!!! The kids and I had a wonderful meal with some wonderful friends as Heather (with Preston of course) had a lunch meeting with Women’s leadership team. After eating, I came home and retired for the day on the couch…I was due for some much needed rest. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called ‘today,’ that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3:13 |
