| Sunday, June 1, 2008 Did May just come and go!!! What an awesome day; my wife finally returned from HeartSpa, Preston and I were reunited and this morning’s service was exquisite. Just a great move of God! After church and a bite at Panera, the kids and I were off to enjoy our season passes at the Great Escape. That’s about it. In the light of a king’s face there is life, and his favor is like the clouds that bring the spring rain. Proverbs 16:15 _______________________________________________________________ Saturday, May 31, 2008 Kennedy, Luke and I were quickly awakened this morning and off to the church for breakfast (men’s breakfast). As usual, Mikey Juliano did a fantastic job! Those who came lingered until noon working on various projects throughout the church. The kids and I then ran some errands and took it easy for the rest of the day. As you know I don’t like to do much Saturday late afternoon and into the evening as I am making final preparations for Sunday. The unfolding of Your Words gives light. Psalm 119:130 _______________________________________________________________ Friday, May 30, 2008 Alas, the new sign is in place and it looks marvelous! The end of an era has arrived, out with the old (sign) and in with the new (sign). A special shout out to the Chey-guy for all his time in on this project. Besides setting the new and placing the give-a-way truck front and center, the kids and I (minus Preston of course) had a delightful meal Mikey Juliano, Ali & Leslie. We then retired for the evening and welcomed the arrival of the new East Coast champs (and soon to be national champs). You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your Word. Psalm 119:114 _______________________________________________________________ Thursday, May 29, 2008 The love of my life has left me today…Heather and the Women’s Ministries have officially begun “Heart Spa” and they are off for a fun filled, spiritually packed weekend. Kennedy, Luke and I are left to fend for ourselves! It appears a lot of junk food and late nights are before us. Besides my incompleteness, worship team practice went very well tonight – probably because Big Poppa (Brian Mauran-it’s just what I call him!!!) brought in pizza for an after practice snack! I must hurry off now as the Lakers are destined to win their conference and face the Celtics yet one more time. God’s Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 _______________________________________________________________ Wednesday, May 28, 2008 Unfortunately Kennedy’s stomach bug persists and I picked her up from school no sooner than I dropped her off. I then took her to the pediatrician and it simply appears to be some kind of virus. Please keep praying! Alongside Kennedy’s plight, Wednesday night service rapidly approached and I was whisked off to the office for the many preparations that are to be made . On a much brighter side, the Chey-guy got the Jamfest sign up and service went very well…as it always does. Praise God! By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for. Proverbs 16:6 _______________________________________________________________ Tuesday, May 27, 2008 The highlight of today was finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel concerning our new and improved church sign. After the efforts today I believe it will be up by the end of the week. Now I am off to be concerned about replacing our video projector…a cool $1,000 ought to do it! Anyways, the ladies had their pep rally tonight – poms poms, attractive cheers and bumpin’ music – for the upcoming retreat, “HeartSpa”. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart: I (Jesus) have overcome the world. John 16:33 _______________________________________________________________ Monday, May 26, 2008 Ahhh, Memorial Day! After a much needed run, the family and I spent the day at Great Escape (an amusement park). Good times. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 _______________________________________________________________ Sunday, May 25, 2008 What an awesome Memorial weekend Sunday service. Going into it I knew of many families who would be traveling and out of church. But the crowd was much more than expected, and better yet, God showed up and showed off in a mighty way. God is faithful, God is good! The Holy Spirit will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to You. John 14:26 _______________________________________________________________ Saturday, May 24, 2008 I was finally able to return the tiller I borrowed today. You might remember it, it was the one that had more problems than I care to mention…Uncle Bill repaired it for me, I was extremely grateful! After that Heather and I prepared the house as we were expecting friends for the weekend. Mike Womer, someone who worked with me in Baltimore, and his family wanted to scope out what God was doing in the North Country. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the father. John 14:12 _______________________________________________________________ Friday, May 23, 2008 What an exciting day! I was consumed in the office, following a very productive meeting, throughout the afternoon and into the wee hours of the morning! I did however break for dinner and a movie with some good friends. The dinner was good, the company was better and the movie might have been above par (it was the new Indiana Jones flic) had it not been for the projector breaking and everyone going home movie-less! Again, I headed back to the office as a long week of revival put me little behind. I have stored up Your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11 _______________________________________________________________ Thursday, May 22, 2008 I was off to the airport this morning as Pastor Chuck headed back to the warmth of Florida. As soon as I dropped him off, I headed to a funeral in Rensselaer to be with Barb Pharo as she lost her sister this past Sunday. Death is always a difficult circumstance. Kennedy is off to a sleepover surprise birthday party, Luke is fast asleep on the couch, Heather and Preston have retired to the upstairs and I am staring at my laptop. All is well and God is good! Whoever loves his life will lose it and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. John 12:25 _______________________________________________________________ Wednesday, May 21, 2008 Revival (as far as a series of services Pastor Chuck preached – not as a perpetual move God began nearly two years ago) ended tonight with a bang! The altars were filled, people were saved, healed and delivered…what more can you ask for! God accomplished His work and He did it abundantly! Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. Psalm 118:5 _______________________________________________________________ Tuesday, May 20, 2008 After a morning of catching up and tying loose ends, the evangelist and I ventured to the Crossgates Mall in Albany. Pastor Chuck felt led to do some shopping at BachRachs (an extremely nice store for men’s fashions – he’s always trying to keep up with me!!!). We then proceeded to Starbucks for a much needed triple tall nonfat upside down caramel macchiato. After our adventure we settled in and made preparations for tonight’s service. And yet again, God showed up in a powerful way and got His business done! Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 15:22 _______________________________________________________________ Monday, May 19, 2008 Just another manic Monday as the song puts it! I woke up worn out and the day relentlessly unfolded. It seemed I was behind schedule all day. Beyond the busyness of the day an awesome meal was brought to us for dinner – Chicken Marsala, fresh corn, cabbage, bread and the most exquisite peanut butter pie I have had in a very long time. And of course God moved in awesome way during service!!! I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because He inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call on Him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1-2 _______________________________________________________________ Sunday, May 18, 2008 Revival! Pastor Chuck kicked things off today by doing what any man of God does best, he followed the leading of the Holy Spirit. The services today were awesome and the services that are to follow will prove to be the same! The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10 _______________________________________________________________ Saturday, May 17, 2008 After adding the final touches to our landscaping this morning, Heather, Kennedy, Luke and I worked tirelessly preparing the house for Pastor Chuck, our evangelist this week (we couldn’t get Preston to do anything!). I picked Pastor Chuck up at the airport around 4pm and we introduced him to some fine upstate cuisine for dinner, Friendly’s. Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore! Psalm 113:2 _______________________________________________________________ Friday, May 16, 2008 The high point of today was going to The Chronicles Of Narnia – Prince Caspian! The low point was Luke peeing on me as I watched the movie! Obviously he fell asleep in my lap and had an accident. If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 _______________________________________________________________ Thursday, May 15, 2008 We decided to veer off the normal path and get a little crazy today. Due to the fact that McDonalds was giving away their (new) chicken biscuit (for free), we decided to forgo our Friday Dunkin Donut day and have a special Thursday at McDonalds. It turned out quite lovely! And the kids realized there was indoor play land, so for dessert, they played - definitely a winning idea. Besides the exciting morning, we had an extended praise team practice in preparation for Revival. I am intentionally leaving out my unfortunate and disturbing middle part of my day (the tiller I borrowed blew a rod and I blew an afternoon of work dealing with a broken piece of machinery). I know – blah, blah, blah! That’s why I didn’t mention it! Anyways, be praying about the Revival – God is up to something – I’m sure of it. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Psalm 111:10 _______________________________________________________________ Wednesday, May 14, 2008 After battling with the ongoing headache of my yard I transitioned into preparation for tonight’s service. And might I add, service went well! You without sin may cast the first stone! John 8:7 _______________________________________________________________ Tuesday, May 13, 2008 Blood, sweat & tears best describes my day! The mosquitoes drew blood, some toiling in the soil combined with sunshine brought the sweat and my aching back ushered in the tears. One of these days the yard will look as good as Dr. Dans ( my most senior elder at church). Whoever believes in me (Christ), as the Scripture has said, “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7: 38 _______________________________________________________________ Monday, May 12, 2008 My morning and afternoon was filled with a much needed run, a very important meeting and some productive calls. And today, finally, I started re-landscaping our front yard! My back is a bit tender…nothing a little aspirin can’t handle. Now therefore stand still and see this great thing that the Lord will do before your eyes. 1 Samuel 12:16 _______________________________________________________________ Sunday, May 11, 2008 Happy Mother’s Day…I wish everyone could have a mom like mine, and be a mom like the one my children have! This morning’s service went well and I truly believe God spoke to lives that were before Him this morning. The kids and I took Heather to The Cheesecake Factory and we rented a few flicks picked out by none other than mom. The night settled in and we all fell into a deep sleep!!! A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1 _______________________________________________________________ Saturday, May 10, 2008 Today is one of those lazy days. I have been chillin’ on the couch (while perusing all I have planned for tomorrow, of course) all morning. After a caramel macchiato I did a small outdoor job and we loaded the van as the afternoon set in. We hit Moes, TJ Max & Target before we ran out of gas (both physically and petroleum-ly speaking) and crashed at the house for the night. I have a good feeling about tomorrow…see you at church! Jesus said, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” _______________________________________________________________ Friday, May 9, 2009 After my usual, Dunkin Donuts with the kids and a run at the gym, I found myself submerged in a video I am developing for Mother’s Day…I hope it turns out alright. Then, like a horse off to the races, Chey-guy and I ran multiple errands. Unfortunately I was not able to make all the necessary stops. After a very interesting meeting with Pulse 96.7 (Jamfest advertising stuff), I took the kids to see Speed Racer. Not so good, definitely a rental. And so, as the midnight hour approaches I am back to preparation for Sunday…a never ending saga. Wisdom rests in the heart of a man of understanding. Proverbs 14:33 _______________________________________________________________ Thursday, May 8, 2008 Today I had Jimmy V. (the church’s sound guy and carpet cleaning extraordinaire) clean all the upholstery in the van. He obviously did an outstanding job. The van looks new! As far as the other parts of my day are concerned, I spent some much needed time at church and found some much needed time for some much needed prayer…I need to pray more! I topped the day off with praise team practice. Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever. Psalm 106:1 _______________________________________________________________ Wednesday, May 7, 2008 I suppose the latter half of my day went much better than the first half. That is certainly not to say the first half was not so good, for it was fine. However, it is to say that service tonight went exceptionally well! God’s love came and settled in. It was one of the moments in which words fail to explain and I found myself speechless. God always has a better way of saying things and He did! Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. John 5:23 _______________________________________________________________ Tuesday, May 6, 2008 I spent the majority of today tying up lose ends and meeting with important people concerning important things. Oh yeah, I finally transferred all my stuff to my new laptop as well!!! I was able to squeeze in a mile lap with Luke and Kennedy as the evening set in (Luke rode his bike and Kennedy walked). The street in front of our house was newly paved today also…I can’t wait for next season’s snow storms, salt and plow trucks to demolish it. I’m tired now, good night. A prophet has no honor in his hometown. John 4:44 _______________________________________________________________ Monday, May 5, 2008 After a much needed run I spent all my waking hours attempting to transfer data from my old computer to my new computer. I’m still not done! Anyways, I peeked in on Morijah (our Jamfest band) practicing at the church and played with Kennedy and Luke on Noah’s Ark ( it’s a huge addition to our playground…in case you didn’t know) as Heather met with the Lady’s ministry leadership team. Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm! Psalm 105:15 (one of my personal favorites) _______________________________________________________________ Sunday, May 4, 2008 Yet another awesome Sunday…God is good! He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30 _______________________________________________________________ Saturday, May 3, 2008 After running a few errands this morning, my family and I went to Colonie Center so my mom could peruse The Christmas Tree Shops. I found nothing that interested me, obviously. After a good walk around the mall we had lunch at PF Changs, an awesome Chinese restaurant…if you go don’t forget your wallet (my aunt, who paid, didn’t forget hers). We finally got home and I spent the remainder of the day in preparation for tomorrow. I believe God wants to break something! For God so loved the world that HE gave…John 3:16 _______________________________________________________________ Friday, May 2, 2008 My father, Kennedy, Luke and I made our weekly visit to Dunkin Donuts prior to school starting. We all love to begin our day with a nutritional meal! After extensive visiting with my family we went out for yet another nutritional meal at the Golden Hog Trough (or Corral), and my parents/aunt proceeded to take my little darlings shopping. I made out pretty good as well…mom bought me a new laptop! Again, another good day! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Psalm 103:1 _______________________________________________________________ Thursday, May 1, 2008 After Luke and I ran several errands in the early am, I spent some time prepping the house for my parents and my aunt in the late am. Even though the house was not ready, I headed into the office for a fun filled afternoon and evening of meetings and eventual praise team practice. My family arrived around 7pm, and after practice I spent some time with them before they fell asleep. It’s been a good day! Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
